The Auburn Human Rights Commission was established by the City Council in 1964 to encourage and ensure that every individual has an equal opportunity to participate in the economic, cultural, and intellectual life of the community regardless of disability, creed, race, sex, age or national origin. |

The agency consists of nine members, seven of which shall be appointed by the City Manager with the confirmation of the City Council. The remaining two members shall be the current Mayor and a current Council Member so designated by Council. |
