P.R.I.D.E. Job Skills Readiness Program $8,000
Unity House of Cayuga County
Unity House, will utilize $8,000 in CDBG funding to provide job skills training to individuals in the City of Auburn who are currently unemployed or underemployed. The program provides seamless intake, assessment of job readiness skills, goals setting and skills training for program participants. It provides intensive one-on-one job skills training and on the job follow up both on and off the job site to ensure that jobs accessed through the program can be maintained on a long term basis. The program proposed to serve approximately 35 persons, but the goals of the program will be adjusted to reflect a reduction in funding, determined by the Application Review Committee.

Human Services Coalition
The Human Service Coalition will utilize $10,000 in funding to continue to improve the lines of communication between the human service community and the consumers served by human services agencies by improving communications and creating an atmosphere for the efficient and coordinated delivery of services. ~The coalition does not provide direct services, but helps increase dialogue and communication between local agencies and the public to enhance efficient service delivery.
