Find out more about Auburn's Empire Zone. (This link will open the Empire State Development's web page in a new browser, see links at right of page.)
New York State has designated two square miles of the City of Auburn as a targeted Empire Zone. The City of Auburn invites you and your business to take advantage of all that its Zone has to offer.
The Empire Zone is a specially designated area in which the State of New York particularly wants to encourage business growth and development. Empire Zones attract and foster businesses by providing them with a host of special conditions, incentives and perks. These include tax credits and exemptions, utility rate reductions, job training, attractive financing, and priority attention from the state agencies that play a role in economic development. This special treatment gives Empire Zone businesses competitive advantages in return for locating in an area that needs enterprise...and warmly welcomes it. Auburn, New York is just such an area.
